Have fun outside today!  In honor of National Get Outdoors Day, the Geneva Park District is hosting a variety of free events for all ages and interests.   Activities run throughout the day at different parks and facilities. 

National Get Outdoors Day is an outgrowth of the Get Outdoors USA! campaign, which encourages Americans, especially our youth, to seek out healthy, active outdoor fun; and to embrace parks, forests, refuges, and other public lands and waters.

2018 Activities

WESTERN AVENUE SCHOOL

Family fun from 9:00 – 11:00 am
Engage with your family during organized activities including an obstacle course, field games, sidewalk art, bubbles, crafts, scavenger hunt BINGO, kickball, 60-second challenges, and more!

DRYDEN PARK AND SPRC

Tennis at Dryden Park:  9:00 – 10:00 am
Ages 6-10

Kickball at SPRC:  2:00 – 3:00 pm
Ages 6-10

Dodgeball at SPRC:  3:00 -4:00 pm

PECK FARM PARK

Chalk Art: 10:00 am – 1:00 pm

Everything Starts with the Sun:  11:30 am
Cook in a solar oven, make a UV detecting bracelet, and learn about shadows.
