Playhouse 38 Presents “Cracked Ice” June 16, 2022 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Playhouse 38’s performance of “Cracked Ice,” an evening of comedy, is comprised of 10-minute performances from Emmy Award-winning writer/producer Ken Levine (“M*A*S*H,” “Cheers,” “Frasier,” “Wings,” etc.) and Craig Gustafson, a local playwright with comedies published in several anthologies.

With a total of 8 performances, the show will run from Thursday-Sunday over two weeks. Showtimes are at 8 pm Thursday-Saturday June 9-11 & June 16-18. There also will be two 2 pm shows on Sunday, June 12 & 19. Tickets are $15 each in advance or $20 at the door. Individuals are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance at GenevaParks.org, or in person at Sunset Community Center or Stephen Persinger Recreation Center.
About Ken Levine:
Levine’s television credits include “M*A*S*H,” “Cheers,” “Frasier,” “The Simpsons,” “Wings,” “Becker” and many others. He is also a veteran baseball announcer and contributing cartoonist to the New Yorker magazine. With his partner David Issacs, Levine wrote all of the “Cheers” Bar Wars episodes, as well as “Point of View,” the Emmy-nominated “M*A*S*H” episode of a stay at the 4077th seen through the eyes of a wounded soldier.

His first full-length farce, “The Angle of Mercy,” recently had its world premiere at GreenMan Theatre Troupe in Elmhurst. “Cracked Ice” is directed by Gustafson, a longtime Chicagoland director and winner of the Broadway World – Chicago 2019 award for Best Direction of a Play (Resident Non-Equity) for “August: Osage County” at Stage Coach Players.
